Today I learned that Photo Story is pretty darn cool. I was amazed at how easy it was to use. The best testimony I can give to support this is that I was able to do my entire project without freaking out, begging someone for guidance, or using the Help button even once. I was able to create an instructional video for basic recorder fingerings that I plan on posting on my webpage. The possiblities are endless when pairing Photo Story with my webpage as an outlet. I can foresee several instructional videos (singing posture, beginner dictation, beginnger sight signing, etc.) being placed on my webpage in the future with the help of Photo Story.

No comment on Flickr.com, since I could never get confirmed. Photo Story was fun-- Oh the possibilities, not only professional but personal. What a great way to get to know people. I always like these workshops to keep up with the latest technology.

Working with photo story was a new experience. It turned out to be a positive one. I found the program very workable and easy to manipulate. It is a great way to save those family memories. I am going to use my photo story in my classroom as an introductory to a lesson on “All about Me.” It will be a great way for them to get to know me a little better. I know the more I work with it the more comfortable I will become at creating a photo story.

Wow! Photostory is fun! After I finally was able to record my voice I liked it. I was pretty frustrated when I couldn't get music or sound to play. My photostory still needs a lot of work , but it is a start. Photostory might be fun for students as an option instead of powerpoints on some projects. I think all students would be able to use this.
I also set up a flickr account. I think it will be nice to share with family or load pictures on at home that I might use at school.

Today has been great for me. I worked with PhotoStory all morning and made a video for my parent's 50th wedding annivesary. I had never used PhotoStory. I'm a MovieMaker and non-linear video person, but found PhotoStory easy to use. Some of the features are better than MovieMaker, but there are many in PhotoStory too. I think I will have my students start with PhotoStory this year and tell me their story using pictures. I'm also anxious to share with my colleagues what was shared with the class today.

I did sign up for flickr and can see me using this to share photos with friends and family. I love to take pictures of family gatherings, but it is hard to share them. I can see me sharing my url with everyone so they can enjoy them too.

Anytime I can learn a little bit more about technology and how I can use it to WOW my students, colleagues and my family, the time is worth it.

Thanks for sharing. I loved everyone's stories.

worked with photostory! Lots of fun, quick and very user friendly, didn't even have to read the instructions!! I think this will be great for my students. We could do Photostories of different artist. We also worked with flickr.com. I didn't like this site at all, Not very user frienly or maybe I just don't know what I'm doing. All in all good day, lots of new Info I can use.

I teach a class on how to use PowerPoint and then an advanced PowerPoint class. I think the users in the advanced class would enjoy PowerPoint since they already enjoy the use of audio and video in PowerPoint.

I could have them find pictures from the Internet (as long as they have a Works Cited page) and compile a video of some pictures that relate to a common theme such as the one we did today. They would enjoy doing that project.

I had used MovieMaker and PhotoStory but it's always nice to brush up on tips and tricks.

Photostory! Wow! Very similar to Movie Maker however, I think it might be a little more user friendly. Both programs have pros and cons. The main "con" I see however, is that I can't manipulate the text in either like I would like to. I can get around that though using photoshop or publisher to create a jpg slide then insert it in. Pro: Simple and cheap!

Photo Story was fun to use. Once again networking with other teachers who are looking for practical ways to use technology in the classroom was very beneficial. Once the ideas start flying, it's very exciting.
Flickr was also fun to set up. I will watch to see what my contacts post, although as one of the last people on earth NOT to own a digital camera, I probably won't be posting a whole lot.
I'm interested in reading some of the resource books Mary Lee brought to the class. I think they will be helpful in my classroom.

Today I learned how to use the Photo Story program. At first, I wasn't real comfortable, but caught on as we went along. I enjoyed putting my family pictures into this program. It was fun to come up with a story to go along with the images. I found it was kind of a way to tell the story behind the pictures.

I think I will be able to use this in the classroom, but not until the new lab is completed. I think the first project will be just to retell a story. I would like to just get a picture to represent the beginning, middle and ending of a story and have them add the text. I will probably assign partners and model one for them. This would cover lots of skills, such as comprehension of the story and sentence structure if that is what I am evaluating. I also think it is just plain fun!!!
